This web site is named after the mountain of Blaven on the
misty Isle of Skye. Blaven, or Blà Bheinn to use its correct
Gaelic name, is recognised as one of most beautiful and photogenic
mountains in Scotland.
You can also read about the small crofting community Torrin
which lies on the adjacent shore of Loch Slapin. For such a
remote part of the world the Isle of Skye is steeped in history,
legend and myth. You can get a taste of this in the seven mile
journey from Broadford to Blaven. Finally you will find some
general information and useful web links for the Isle of Skye.
